The day is finally here! Death Is So Permanent is now available on everything everywhere all at once! It's very late and I should be asleep instead of writing this, but I felt the need to post something here on the poor neglected blog. Thanks to everyone who has supported us thus far and hopefully there will be a lot more to come after this one. But for now: 7 more fresh tracks + 1 somewhat fresh track are waiting for you! Dig in!

Oh and we dropped a music video for Unwanted in July as well! It's on our youtube channel at the moment but it's supposed to go up on Vevo at some point as well, so when that happens we will take that link down. So here is the link as of today, but if it doesn't work, just look it up on vevo:

Unwanted in July drops on all the platforms in just under an hour! Glad the journey to start getting this music out into the world is almost over! We are also pleased to announce that we are partnering with Mint 400 Records on this release! We have really admired what Neil has built over there and have a lot of friends and musicians we admire on the label, so we couldn't be happier to be a part of that community. Album announcement (and maybe one more single) are imminent. For now: enjoy the new song! More to come soon!

Guess what band has 8 freshly mixed and mastered songs they are just dying to release? Yes it is us. Obviously. But we are trying something new this time and seeing if anyone actually wants to help us out and release this thing. Working with a label of some kind would be different. We will see if we can make that happen.

So no other announcements for now. If we can't get anyone to bite for a month or two, then we will just put it out ourselves as usual. Keep an eye out for any news about that.

The reason that blogs die is because people forget about them. I'll do my best to keep this one alive!

A quick rundown of the things going on right now in Meteorland:

• We got nominated for best punk/alt band in the Asbury Park Music awards. We won't win, but hey that's fun.
• We have been recording at Yung Bull studio in Brick since August. We are just starting the mixing phase now. Maybe a single will be out in the spring?
• Two shows coming up in Easton and Flemington. Check out the event calendar to see more.
• We probably need to make some new shirts. We have been selling the same design since like 2022.

And that is it really. Our new years resolution is to play a show in NYC. Somehow we haven't done that yet (well besides Punk Island but that is kind of its own unique thing). Hope to see you out there!

I added in a photo section today where I intend to dump every photo of us I can find whether they be good, bad, or ugly. I think it is important to keep these kind of memories around and publicly accessible. So far I have 3 galleries from 2021 posted and will work on adding more over time.

Also: hey we have some shows! We are playing at the Chubby Pickle on 6/6 and are taking part in the Punk Island fest on 6/8! We have one other thing on deck for May but haven't fully confirmed it so can't say anything yet. Hopefully I can post about that soon as it is very cool.

Heya. Look we made a website. And a blog too! It feels like 2005 in here. Anyway, we will probably still mostly post on instagram because that is easier to keep updated/we are owned by Zuc, but I will be making a concerted effort to update this site and make it the eternal shrine to all things Meteor Police that the world deserves. As for actual band news: we have 2 shows coming up and are working on possibly playing some gigs in Las Vegas around the same time the Best Friends Forever Fest is happening. Dustin and I will already be there, so might as well drag Bill and Justin along and try to get a gig or two. We will see how that goes!

Oh and we are almost done writing the next album. We wanted to be recording already but are still tweaking the songs/adding bells and whistles to them. That way we can enter the studio and knock em out in like 2 or 3 sessions. For NTD we wasted a lot of time/money on experimentation and editing and we are trying to do all that before we go into the studio this time. We will see how that goes. Expect more on that topic by the summer I would think.
